This poem was a part of my required readings for the week in my criticcal theories course, and I was busting a gut laughing!! Possibly one of the funniest poems I have ever read!! Here it is:
The Rose Family
The rose is a rose
And always was a rose.
But the theory now goes
That an apples a rose,
And a pear is, and so's
The plum, I suppose.
The dear only knows
what next will prove a rose.
You, of course, are a rose -
But we're always a rose.
--- Robert Frost (1927).
