Even the snow can't get me down :)

Have you ever had a week where you just could break out in a dance anywhere you go because you are so overwhelmed with love and joy? I in fact, have broken out in a dance, many times, because this is a time of celebration for me. I am not sure why, but God has blessed me with a perma-smile haha!! This is not because everything has just been "going my way", as a matter of fact, I have never had one of those weeks - but because I can take on any struggle the enemy wants to throw at me. My passion for God surpasses the little "man this sucks" situations - and I refuse to compromise my love for Christ for anything else in the world.

This past week-end my friends from PTBO (along with Ry & Colin) went up to Collingwood to go skiing at Blue mountain. Now - if anybody has been to Blue - you know how GORGEOUS it is, and how tough it would be to come back to a chilly apartment in PTBO to essays, exams and a cold. We had such a great time, Ry and Colin had never skiied (sp?) before, but picked it up really quickly. It was actually hilarious to watch the "manly" men take lessons from Amy and I. I am sure their pride suffered a little, especially Colins, as the first time on the chair lift, he managed to lose both of his skis and poles. Amy (one of my housemates and best friends) grew up in Collingwood so her parents took us in for the week-end, which was so nice of them!!

The best part about this week-end was the exposure our friend Nick is openly being exposed to spiritually. He was the only one on the trip that is not a Christian, and the other 5 of us that went have been slowly witnessing to him since September. We have hit a few bumps, but he is really revealing a curious heart. He has been with a girl (who lives in Ottawa, his hometown) for years, and has broken things off with her in the past week - due to her lack of faith in God, and her anger towards Nick for believing. This is a huge step for him, but he is walking in faith for something bettr in his life. He has just began taking the Alpha course in PTBO..and enjoys it!! God is moving in PTBO - one heart at a time. He had not made arrangements to live with friends last year, so this year signed a lease for 3 other people that go to Trent, none he knew, and 2 of them are Christians. YAY!! So we have all decided, he is hopeless - absolutely hopeless if he thinks God is not going to swarm him and reveal Christs love to him. We (Amy and I) bought him a Bible a few months ago, and until then he had no idea how to read it .. but now is likely through most of the Old Testment, and correcting us on Biblical knowledge (I need to brush up!!)

I will keep updates on Nick, please pray for him - as he is really struggling without his girlfriend, but is realizing how much he needs God. He said to me the other day "You know Jenna, the more I try and make sense of creation, and how the world works, the more I believe in God, and the more I know I have been living a stupid lifestyle for too long." PRAISE GOD!!!

So.. the week-end was amazing, though I have been fighting a nasty cold the past few days - Ry has been my doctor - and it such a sweetheart! I will have to post an entire blog about how he is so wonderful, and how God has shown me His love through Ry, because I could go on and on. But, anybody that knows him, knows how special he is, and how lucky I am.

Honey has been sick this week - alongside me. The 2 of us look funny together, she sniffles, I sniffle, we both are sleeping much more then usual, and we both are big bums this week. She's been hilarious this week though, I scolded her on Sunday for making a huge mess (pee & poo) in my bedroom, and she was so angry with me and I gave bher a time out in her crate, that she takes her small blanket and blocks the doorway with it so nobody can see inside!!! I laughed sooo hard...

Anyways, off to do home-work - Oh! If anybody has a god recipe for homemade pizza (especially the dough) I would really appreciate it - I am going to surprise Ry on Valentines day with a gift and pizza, and the pepperoni is going top spell "Be Mine".. or something like that haha!! Thanks!!
