My Ry

Psalm 37:4 "Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he will give thee the desires of thine own heart."
1 Thess 5:16 "Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Jesus Christ."


I realize I could sit here for hours typing about the best gift I could ever recieve from my Father.
I can believe and pursue my God whole heartedly every single day, because having Ry in my life gives me no space to doubt or question the love God has for me.
He changes me everyday, I have grown and learned to fall in love without walls, without hesitation - and without fear.
Those who know me, know about some tragic events that have taken place in my past - and some of my characteristics and behaviours still are rooted in those happenings. But, as a growing woman of God - I have been given the chance to find companionship, trust and affection in someone I know will never leave my side.

Ry turns 22 tomorrow (it's still Tuesday night!) --- and though I do not get to see him (sad faces all around)... I am thinking and my heart celebrates his birth, and his life!!

Instead of making this into a sobbery for Jenna, I will share some of the things I love most about my future husband, and the one I honour and admire:

- He has never let anything, or anybody shake his faith - his grounded foundations and upbringing have made him a strong man of God, and this is what I respect and look up to most in him. He is a born leader, and challenges me in my walk, building a spiritual connection between us I cannot even explain, making us the strong couple we are today.
- Ry loves to cook!!! What a great quality for your husband-to-be to have! I try, but... he holds the title for chef, which pleases me!
- Ry is the type of guy that knows exactly what to say, when to break you, and when to make you. I have found his words to be sharp sometimes, but most of the time, he is right. I am the type to bottle up and do not easily open up... but he just understands me, and knows how to speak up when it's needed.
- He LOVES kids - this is by far the most attractive thing about him!! Nothing beats watching him play with toddlers, or hold a baby. It makes my heart melt, he will make a wonderful Daddy!
- Ry takes great care of me. I have walked into some stick situations, and he has always picked me up. I honestly do not know who or where I would be today without him, and his caring heart. He reminds me everyday what love is... and I am truly thankful to him for this.
- He puts my needs before his, this may seem silly... but we both work hard at this, and sacrifice is a tough thing.
- He is great with a guitar, I love this about him - listening to him sing and strum remind me of when we began dating and I would ask God how on earth I found someone so amazing.
- He makes me laugh, and always will.
- He gavve me Honey, who has brought me soooo much joy!

I will cut it off here (though I was just getting started)

- He chose me.
